We are seeking a highly enthusiastic and meticulous Junior Accountant to join our growing accounts team. This full-time, on-site role in Dubai, UAE, is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or individuals with 0-1 years of experience looking to build a strong foundation in accounting. The Junior Accountant will provide essential support to our senior team, focusing on accurate data entry, basic financial record-keeping, and learning the practical application of accounting principles and software within a client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:
- Financial Data Entry & Verification: Accurately record financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expenses, into accounting software and assist in verifying data integrity.
- Client Account Support: Assist in maintaining organized accounting records for Freezoner's diverse external clients, supporting tasks related to general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Reconciliation Assistance: Support senior accountants in performing basic bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations, identifying simple discrepancies.
- Documentation & Filing: Ensure all financial documents and records are properly organized, filed, and maintained in compliance with company policies.
- Compliance & Audit Support: Assist with basic VAT data compilation and other compliance-related tasks, providing support during internal and external audit preparations.
- Learning & Development: Actively participate in learning opportunities, adapt to new accounting practices, and contribute positively to the team.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.
Requirements:
Must-Have:
- Educational & Professional Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A relevant professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA or ACCA) is a must-have for this role.
- Relevant Accounting Experience: 0-1 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role. Fresh graduates with the required educational background and qualification are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Foundational Accounting Knowledge: Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), fundamental IFRS concepts, and basic accounting cycles.
- UAE Regulatory Familiarity: Basic understanding or willingness to learn about UAE VAT regulations.
- Aptitude for Detail & Accuracy: A strong commitment to accuracy, meticulous attention to detail, and a logical approach to numbers.
- Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with accounting software principles and basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, simple formulas).
- Communication & Teamwork: Good written and verbal communication skills in English, a positive attitude, and a strong willingness to learn and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to follow instructions, manage basic tasks, and organize work effectively.
Nice-to-Have:
- Proficiency in Arabic (written and spoken).
- Any prior internship or practical experience in an accounting department.
- Familiarity with specific accounting software used by Freezoner's clients (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Tally).
- Basic understanding of the business setup process in the UAE.
